Happy Half Term

It is the end of a very busy half term and the staff and pupils are now enjoying a well-earned rest. Thank you to all of the parents who attended Parents' Evening - the feedback from this was very positive (in particular the lovely food that was available for everyone to sample). I would like to congratulate Mr Corns on the birth of his son and Mr Brooke who is also the proud daddy of twin boys! During the break, the builders will be back on site undertaking lots of 'snagging' on the building, including improved lighting and at Easter, fingers crossed that we will finally have the path widened for access to the playground. We are still trying to improve the intercom system for the electronic gate, although this is definitely a work in progress. Please may I, once again, ask that parents do not try and drive through these gates unless they have prior and express permission to do so. Under NO circumstances should any pedestrian try and access this gate as it is strictly for vehicles only. Next half term it will be the turn of Year 3, 4 and 5 to perform for you and so look out for further information regarding the performance dates and times. We also have a number of special week's planned during the next half term, including Shakespeare Week and French Cultural Week - hopefully lots for our children to learn through direct experience. The Easter Bonnet competition will be on Thursday 2nd April and parents and carers are really welcome to send in their own entry as we are also looking forward to welcoming some special residents from Bushfield Court with their own entries too! Following this, we will break up at 2:30pm on Friday 3rd April for our Easter break. Once again, as always, thank you for your support, as it is vitally important that we all work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children. See you all again next week, with our staff and children refreshed and raring to go :) Mrs Scott Headteacher
