Headteacher's Blog

As we come to the end of the term, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support during what has been one of the most difficult periods for everyone in our school community. Without your gratitude and words of encouragement, I really do not think we would be where we are today, in a strong position to welcome our children back to school in September, and I would like to thank each and every one of you on behalf of the team at Loxdale. I also wanted to say a personal thank you to all of the staff in our school, who have worked tirelessly since the 20th March when lockdown began. During the pandemic period, there have been staff in our school throughout that time, including the holidays and bank holidays, to support our children and their parents- through childcare, teaching, food parcel delivery or even just an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. These were times when the infection rate was high and it is not an exaggeration to say that these colleagues put themselves at risk for the children of our school and for that I will be forever grateful- as I am sure parents and carers, you are too.
