Only one more week at school before Christmas!

It is the end of yet another busy week at school, with the Key Stage 2 Christingle Carol Concert taking place on Tuesday. Thank you to all of the parents and friends who were able to attend on such a wet and rainy day and the children enjoyed performing for you all. On Thursday, our school choir sang in a competition at Merry Hill, where the children were a real credit to themselves and our school and although we did not get chosen as a finalist, I think they were all absolutely brilliant and I was so proud to see them all singing their hearts out on the stage. Thank you to everyone who supported us during such a busy time. Today is Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children and all of the school look resplendent in their festive attire! Next week will continue to be full steam ahead with all our events and every minute will be jam packed full of festive fun. Nursery children will be visiting Santa in his Grotto on Monday at Excel Church, followed by a week of Christmas Crafts, where parents have been invited to join their children for a number of events. On Tuesday, Year 1 and Year 2 will be performing the 'Innkeeper's Breakfast' and we look forward to welcoming you all to to see your children on stage. After that, it is party time for all of our children and I have heard that Santa again might be paying us a visit for all of the boys and girls (and staff) who have been good this year. School closes for the end of the term on Friday 20th December at 2:30pm and there will be no clubs after school on this day (apart from Tea-Time Club). School re-opens on Wednesday 8th January for all pupils. If I do not manage to see you all next week, may I wish you all a very happy Christmas with your family and friends and a joyful and prosperous New Year. Mrs Scott Headteacher
