During the pandemic, it’s been hard as governors to be involved in what is going on in school. We’ve had to adapt our methods and go virtual, much like the rest of the world!
Our governors meetings have gone online, and so have our link governor meetings (where we usually visit the school and meet with staff/children). I recently “met” with Mrs Wright-Jones via Teams to talk about Pupil Premium funding and how we are supporting the children at Loxdale.
It is always clear that the staff go above and beyond to make sure that the children are at the centre of everything. After chatting with Mrs Wright-Jones for a little while and hearing about all of the great things everyone has been up to, I would like to say well done to all of the staff at Loxdale for all of their hard work and enthusiasm, and well done to the children for adapting and persisting during such a strange time!
