Timetable for Home and School Learning

May 31, 2020

Hi Year 5!

Hopefully you've all had a fantastic half term. I've attached a menu of activity for you to follow this week. As usual, please email the Year 5 address if you've got any questions.

Half Term Residential Experience (at home)

May 18, 2020

With holidays cancelled and residential trips not going ahead, this will provide a safe and enjoyable way for children to enjoy the great outdoors (or indoors). Children can build a den or pitch a tent then enjoy a variety of activities just as if they were on a residential trip. This can be inside or outside, by themselves or with family members.

The attached timetable gives an example itinerary for half term week as well as some resources that can be used to support the experience. Don’t forget, timings are flexible and the timetable does not have to be followed religiously.

Superstar Writer!

May 14, 2020

A huge well done to Ruby, for her super spooky story! She has used some fantastic sentence types along with all the skills we have learnt in class! Hope you enjoy reading it as much as we did :)

I have fifteen cards numbered .

I put down seven of them on the table in a row.

The numbers on the first two cards add to 15.

The numbers on the second and third cards add to 20.

The numbers on the third and fourth cards add to 23.

The numbers on the fourth and fifth cards add to 16.

The numbers on the fifth and sixth cards add to 18.

The numbers on the sixth and seventh cards add to 21.

What are my cards?

Can you find any other solutions?

How do you know you've found all the different solutions?
