I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you from all of the staff for all of the messages of support and good wishes we have received from you as parents and carers, I cannot begin to tell you how much it is appreciated and how much it means. I know as a parent and teacher myself, things have been tough for everyone and I genuinely do not know how you have managed to learn to use all of the new technology and become teachers overnight yourselves, whilst also juggling your own work and home commitments. Who even knew, parents/ carers, what a ‘fronted adverbial’ was before all of this!!!! It is a real honour to work with such a great team of staff, pupils and parents/ carers and it is reassuring for us all that we do not have to worry (as have some of my colleagues) about receiving a constant barrage of emails suggesting how we could do a better job with our teaching and on-line learning- for which I want to say a sincere thank you. We are certainly all learning this together and the children have been phenomenal – often teaching us new skills too as well as sharing our frustrations with technology, buffering and children muting!
One day soon we will hopefully be able to look back on this and realise what was and still is truly important. It is not things or lessons or laptops, but it is people, friends and family- these are the things that matter and that cannot be replaced.
