Loxdale Primary School has recently celebrated an outstanding achievement through their sponsored run event, raising an impressive £4117.20 for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the enthusiasm and spirit of the school's children as they tirelessly ran laps around the school field. This remarkable fundraising effort was fuelled by the generous support of their friends and family.
Loxdale Primary has chosen Neuroendocrine Cancer UK as this year's charity, inspired by our dedicated Business Manager, Mr Brooke, who was diagnosed with multiple Neuroendocrine Tumours (NETs) in the summer of 2024. Mr Brooke's bravery and determination have been a beacon of inspiration for the entire school. Earlier this year in May, he participated in the Great Birmingham 10k run, raising over £1600, only a few weeks after coming out of surgery. His remarkable achievement and unwavering spirit have motivated the entire school community to rally behind this cause and make a meaningful difference.
The school is immensely proud of its students for their hard work and commitment, and they extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed through donations. This collective effort not only provides crucial support for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK but also strengthens the bond within the school community, exemplifying unity and compassion.
Loxdale Primary School extends its sincere thanks to all participants and supporters of this event. Together, they are making a significant difference in the fight against neuroendocrine cancer.
