It's a pleasure to be a governor at Loxdale Primary School. I recently attended the Christmas Fair with my daughter and it was wonderful to see the school full of festive spirit. The event was extremely well attended and clearly enjoyed by pupils and families alike. My thanks go to all the staff who worked so hard to make it such a success.
I also had the pleasure of attending the Key Stage 2 Carol Concert. The children sang beautifully and with great confidence, reflecting the effort and practice that had gone into their performance. They were a real credit to Loxdale Primary School.
In addition, I met with the school’s Pastoral Manager to receive an update on wellbeing across the school. It was reassuring to hear about the strong support in place for pupils and the continued focus on ensuring children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
As the term comes to an end, I would like to thank all staff for their dedication and wish our pupils and families a happy and restful Christmas break.
Steven Liggins
Vice Chair of Governors
