Keeping cool on French Day! Key Stage 2 have taken part in a French scavenger hunt and earned their bonus cards by completing water challenges! Well done, Key Stage 2!

The Year 5 Cedar had an exciting and educational visit to Safeside in Birmingham, where they took part in a range of interactive safety workshops. Today Y5 took part in a workshop which focused on the topic of hate crime. Children explored various scenarios and what it means to be an upstander.

This term during P.E both of our year 5 classes have been choreographing and practicing their own dances to "The greatest show" from The greatest showman musical film. As part of their dance topic. They have all shown incredible creativity, teamwork and communication! We are very proud of how well they have done, we enjoyed watching their final performance this week! Well done to all of year 5!

During this week we learnt how to code crumble boards to make a carousel, we used a motor, sparkle board and a switch. We also got to design our own carousel, take a look at how we got on.

Year 5 enjoyed their movie afternoon that was won out the vending machine for their attendance. This included popcorn and some children also decorated the Christmas tree.

Year 5 have worked so hard to develop their drawn ideas through printmaking. Their results have blown us away! Well done!

Today, we celebrated " TTRS Day." The children in Y5 had lots of fun dressing up as Rockstars and Popstars whilst also having the chance to take part in various times table challenges throughout the day.

Our Year 5 historians have been hard at work this week investigating Viking trading routes - exploring what goods were traded and the impact this had on communities. Using maps, they traced the key trading routes and identified the items exchanged across regions.
