Huge congratulations to all the children who took part in the Christmas Sing-Along! Your voices filled the room with joy, laughter and festive cheer. Christmas came to life and you all made everyone smile, well done Year 1 Elm!

As a reminder, we have a fun-filled day planned for tomorrow! All children are invited to come to school in their Christmas jumpers, we'll be enjoying our Christmas lunch, AND our Christmas Fair is at 3:45pm-6:30pm!   School is then closed for an INSET Day on Friday 5th December

Our wonderful partners from catch22 are holding 2 free online parent and carers webinars around County Lines and Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE). This session is aimed at parent/carers (including foster carers/grandparents) to gain a understanding on the important issues surrounding county lines, as well as the impact that it can have on young people and their families, and the support that is available to young people who are impacted/suffering from County Lines and Crimin

This morning, our little tour guides took us on a whistle-stop journey through the capital, sharing amazing facts about famous landmarks like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Tower Bridge. What a brilliant way to bring learning to life! 🌟

Mrs Flitcroft enjoyed her annual visit to St Leonard’s Church today to decorate Loxdale Primary School’s tree for the Christmas Tree Festival. Don’t forget — the Bilston Light Switch-On event is tomorrow, and you can vote for our tree! Loxdale Choir will also be performing some wonderful Christmas songs to spread festive cheer at 1pm. We’d love to see as many of you there as possible — your support would mean so much to us! 🎅🎄.

On Monday 10th November, our choir attended the 35th Diversity Celebration event at The Halls in Wolverhampton, where they took to the stage and performed "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten in front of an audience of over 2,000 people! The choir did Loxdale proud—as they always do—with their outstanding performance, impeccable behaviour, and positive attitude throughout the event. A huge thank you to all our parents and carers who came along; your support means the world to us! A

Next Friday (21st November), children are invited to come to school in their own clothes! In exchange, we’re kindly asking if children could bring in a donation of chocolate on the day.

This week we celebrated Nursery Rhyme Week! We enjoyed a variety of nursery rhyme themed activities, including building a wall with construction materials for Humpty Dumpty, learning numbers up to 5 with our "Five Little Speckled Frogs," baking five currant buns in our roleplay bakery shop, and singing "The Wheels on the Bus" in our new transport area. It's been a fantastic week full of fun and learning!

As a reminder, tomorrow (Friday 14th November) is Children in Need day! 🔴🟢 All children are invited to come to school in their own clothes tomorrow and we will also be collecting voluntary donations for Children in Need for anyone who wishes to donate. We will be doing Children in Need themed activities throughout the day, so we hope everyone will have lots of fun! ❤️

On Friday, Year 4 had an awesome day dressed as rockstars. The children practiced their times tables through engaging activities and games. Remember to log onto TTRS daily to improve your times tables knowledge and fluency!

Next week is Anti-Bullying Week! To kick off the week, on Monday (10th November) everyone is invited to come to school wearing odd socks 🧦 we will also be having a diversity celebration ❤️

This Friday (7th November) is TT Rock Stars Day in school! 🎸⚡️ Children are invited to come to school dressed as rock stars! Think leather jackets, sunglasses, funky hairstyles, etc. (no need to buy anything new - homemade outfits are perfect!)

As a reminder, we break up for half term today and we’re looking forward to then welcoming children back to school on Monday 3rd November. We hope all of you will enjoy a lovely half term holiday, we can’t wait to hear about what you got up to! ❤️
