As a reminder, we break up for half term tomorrow (Friday 13th February). We then have an INSET Day on 23rd February, so we’re looking forward to welcoming children back to school on Tuesday 24th February. We hope all of you will enjoy a lovely half term holiday, we can’t wait to hear about what you got up to! ❤️

Today, we are celebrating Safer Internet Day! Throughout the day, children will take part in activities linked to this year’s theme, 'Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI'. We encourage parents and carers to join the conversation at home - talking about online safety helps reinforce the important messages children are learning in school.

Yesterday, a group of our Year 3 and 4 learners visited Moseley Park School to compete in a basketball tournament. The children played excellently as a team and showed fantastic Romeo Resilience! Due to their amazing COJOE characteristics the children came third place in the competition! Well done Team Loxdale!!

This morning, Years 3,4 and 5 had a visit from the ‘Stringcredibles’. They taught us all about migration through the story of a butterfly. We have had a fantastic morning learning all about different clothing, food and faiths from around the world. Ask us all about it!

Christmas has come early for Monty 🐾 He has been spoiled by Year 2 this morning and loved every second of it. He has worked super hard so we will think Santa will allow it. 🎅 A big thank you to all of the children and staff 🎄

As a reminder, tomorrow (Friday 19th December) is Elf Day! Everyone is welcome to come to school dressed as an elf 🎄⭐️ Tomorrow is also the last day of school (for every year group except Nursery, who finish today) and children will be finishing at 1pm tomorrow!

We hope everyone is looking forward to the holidays! ❤️ As a reminder, Nursery breaks up tomorrow (Thursday 18th December) after their Christmas party 🕺✨. Everyone else (Reception – Year 6) break up the day after (Friday 19th December) at 1pm. Friday will also be Elf Day, where children can come to school dressed as elves! Huge congratulations to all the children who took part in the Christmas Sing-Along! Your voices filled the room with joy, laughter and festive cheer. Christmas came to life and you all made everyone smile, well done Year 1 Elm!
