Year 5 Pine had an exciting afternoon as they began the planning process for their final Design and Technology project of the year. They have come up with some fantastic ideas for creating their own stuffed toys in textiles, and we can't wait to see their designs and creativity brought to life!

Pine have been learning about reproduction in plants. During their science lesson, they carefully dissected a flower to identify the male and female reproductive parts and understand how plants reproduce.

Keeping cool on French Day! Key Stage 2 have taken part in a French scavenger hunt and earned their bonus cards by completing water challenges! Well done, Key Stage 2!

Year 5 Pine have been working hard to improve the use of cohesive devices in their writing by completing a trio write. They have each been given different roles in the writing process and had the opportunity to take ownership of each of these roles in turn. Well done, Year 5, some fantastic team work and writing outcomes!

Year 5 Pine have had a POPtastic day! We have taken part in an African Drumming workshop, pop quiz, Battle of the Bands, festival competition and made pop appraisals to decide who they would assign to their record label! Well Done Pine!

Year 5 Pine had had fun combining graffiti and Maths to represent multiplying fractions by a whole number.

Today Y5 took part in a workshop which focused on the topic of hate crime. Children explored various scenarios and what it means to be an upstander.

Year 5 Pine have been designers during their Vector Drawing computing lessons. Ask them all about the tools they have used!

Year 5 Pine have enjoyed celebrating World Book Day by taking part in a range of activities throughout the day inspired by different books. We also loved sharing some of our favourite stories with Year 2.

Year 5 Pine have had a fantastic day with Mr Aston completing history, literacy and DT activities through the use of Minecraft Education and Freeform. Ask us all about the Tudor World that we have created.

Year 5 Pine have developed their portraits this week, experimenting with materials and techniques. Some excellent art work, Year 5! Well done!

This term during P.E both of our year 5 classes have been choreographing and practicing their own dances to "The greatest show" from The greatest showman musical film. As part of their dance topic. They have all shown incredible creativity, teamwork and communication! We are very proud of how well they have done, we enjoyed watching their final performance this week! Well done to all of year 5!

To recognise the importance of Safer Internet Day, Year 5 Pine have developed their knowledge of AI usage and assessed the risk to ensure they use it safely.

This week it is Year 5 Pine’s computing week. We have been using a software called Crumble to program kits using a motor, light and sensor. 💻

Year 5 Pine have had a fantastic home cinema afternoon! Feeling elfy!

Year 5 Pine are Christmas Party Ready! We are having an excellent Grinchmas Day so far!

This week, Year 5 Pine have created some amazing pieces of homework all about the Vikings. We have had all sorts of projects completed, from letters and fact files to settlement models and armour! Well done Year 5, your efforts blow us away every week!

Year 5 enjoyed their visit from our very own Super Space Scientist, Rhyder, yesterday afternoon. Rhyder loves everything Space and has been working hard to create a presentation for Year 5, in order to kick start their new science unit. Well done, Rhyder, from all of Year 5!

Year 5 have worked so hard to develop their drawn ideas through printmaking. Their results have blown us away! Well done!
