Keeping cool on French Day! Key Stage 2 have taken part in a French scavenger hunt and earned their bonus cards by completing water challenges! Well done, Key Stage 2!

Year 4 had a fantastic Sports Day filled with fun, teamwork and enthusiasm. Pupils took part in a range of activities showing great effort and sportsmanship throughout. It was wonderful to see everyone cheering each other on and working together. A big well done to all the children, you made it a day to remember! 🏅

Year 4 enjoyed 'World Cup Wednesday' yesterday. It was wonderful to see such a bright and colourful celebration! The children loved playing football together, showing great teamwork, enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the day. A fun and memorable experience for everyone! ⚽

Year 4 Rowan created beautiful shadow sculptures using inspiring words like hope and kindness. By shining light on their designs, their words appeared as shadows on the floor, bringing their ideas to life. A creative and thoughtful activity. Well done Year4 Rowan! 🌟

Year 4 Rowan have been exploring the natural world in celebration of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. Inspired by his lifelong passion for the world around us, the children learned about different habitats, wildlife and the importance of protecting our planet. They showed creativity through their drawings and shared thoughtful ideas on how we can all care for the Earth. A fantastic effort from everyone. Well done Year 4 Rowan! 🌿🐾

Year 4 Rowan enjoyed a fantastic arty day at Compton Verney. They gathered inspiration from a variety of artwork and sculptures before using their ideas to design and create their own prints. They showed wonderful creativity and enthusiasm. They also loved having a picnic lunch on the beautiful grounds, making it a truly memorable day!

In DT, the children created shell structure helmets using papier-mâché. They learned how curved shapes add strength while carefully layering materials to build their designs. The finished helmets showed great creativity, patience, and effort. Well done Year 4 Rowan!

Today, Year 4 Rowan had a fantastic opportunity to share their musical talents with Year 3. After weeks of practising chords, strumming patterns and learning new songs, the children proudly performed a selection of ukulele pieces they’ve been working hard on. Year 3 were a brilliant audience and listening carefully, clapping along and showing great enthusiasm throughout. Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic visit to St Martin’s Church to learn more about the Easter story . The children explored the key events of Holy Week through interactive activities and thoughtful discussion. They represented the school brilliantly and came away with a deeper understanding of Easter’s themes of hope and new beginnings. Thank you to St Martin’s for welcoming us so warmly!

Year 4 had a brilliant time celebrating World Book Day! The children came to school dressed in their comfiest pyjamas and some fantastic book-themed costumes. We loved seeing everyone’s creativity and the excitement they brought to the day. Throughout the morning, the class enjoyed sharing their favourite stories, talking about the characters they love, and taking part in fun activities. Yesterday, Year 4 Rowan rolled up their sleeves and stepped into the world of baking! The classroom was filled with excitement (and a lovely sweet smell!) as the children worked together to make their very own biscuits. They started by weighing out their ingredients carefully, making sure everything was measured just right. Next came the sifting—a messy but very fun moment as flour floated like tiny snowflakes! This hands-on experience linked beautifully to their literacy work, inspiring descriptive writing full of rich vocabulary and sensory detail.
