Our Reception children were very excited this morning as they finally got to dig up the vegetables they planted and nurtured earlier in the year. They carefully searched through the soil and were delighted to discover how much their vegetables had grown! What a fantastic day we have had in Reception celebrating music day. We got to take part in a lot of activities and had a fun filled day listening to and learning lots of music.

We’re so grateful to all the parents who joined Reception Willow for our pantomime. Sharing the If You See a Crocodile experience with you made the day even more memorable for the children. Thank you for being part of it.

We’ve had a wonderful time celebrating our love of reading today. The children threw themselves into a range of fun activities inspired by The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood — from storytelling and crafts to role‑play and problem‑solving adventures! Their enthusiasm, creativity, and joy made the day truly special. We have had a very exciting week in Reception this week. Our local PCSO in and spoke to us about the role of the police. We enjoyed asking lot's of questions about their job and loved trying on their uniform. Take a look at us.

This afternoon, Reception had a fantastic visit from our local Community Support Officer! The children loved learning all about the important role they play in keeping our community safe. There were lots of smiles and excitement as the children got to try on real police uniform — definitely a highlight of the day! 👕🚓 A big thank you to our officer for taking the time to visit us. What a wonderful experience for our little learners!

What a fun last week we have had in Reception Willow before the half term. We have been celebrating Valentine's day and have had lots of fun themed activities. We have also been working on our physical development and had a game of class bowling. We have had lots of fun. Have a lovely half term.

This week has been an exciting first week back we have started a new topic called 'into the woods'. We have been learning all about woodland animals and can even talk about animals that hibernate. In topic today we had lots of fun planting a bulb we then had a go at drawing and labelling as well as talking about what it needs to survive. Take a look.

Reception have been busy practising their dance moves for their Christmas party later on today. We're so excited!

WOW what a busy 2 weeks it has been in Reception Willow with lots of fun. A big well done to the cast of our sing-a-long and a big thank you to all the parents for coming along to show support. Can we also say a big thank you to all of the parents that came to support our stay and play this week we hope you enjoyed getting to see what the children get up to on a daily basis.

WOW well what a busy week it has been in Reception Willow. We hope you enjoyed watching us perform in our first ever sing a long we sure had lots of fun and rehearsed hard. Today we have been getting into the festive spirit in our Christmas jumpers and enjoyed a lovely Christmas lunch. We have been doing a range of Christmas activities in class whilst our elf played lots of tricks. Have a lovely long weekend.
