Year one Elm have loved practising their doubles on National Numeracy Day! We all had lots of fun exploring different activities in the classroom.

Today, Year 1 Ash had a fantastic time celebrating National Numeracy Day! 🔢✨ We explored numbers through fun activities, with a special focus on doubles! The children enjoyed spotting and making doubles, using practical resources, games, and quick challenges to help them see patterns (double 2 is 4, double 5 is 10, and so on!). We loved spotting patterns and building confidence in maths—well done everyone! 👏

Year 4 Rowan created their own soap sculptures, showing great creativity and care. They developed skills such as fine motor control, patience, and attention to detail, while carefully shaping their designs. Fantastic work Year 4 Rowan! ✨

Our Year 6 students are completing their SATs this week! We’ve been exploring digital media and had lots of fun creating our own music using Chrome Music Lab! 🎧✨ Working with our partners, we experimented with different sounds, rhythms and patterns to compose our own tunes. We’re so proud of what we’ve created. Take a listen and enjoy our musical masterpieces! 🎼👏

Year 4 Rowan have been exploring the natural world in celebration of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. Inspired by his lifelong passion for the world around us, the children learned about different habitats, wildlife and the importance of protecting our planet. They showed creativity through their drawings and shared thoughtful ideas on how we can all care for the Earth. A fantastic effort from everyone. Well done Year 4 Rowan! 🌿🐾

Year 4 Rowan enjoyed a fantastic arty day at Compton Verney. They gathered inspiration from a variety of artwork and sculptures before using their ideas to design and create their own prints. They showed wonderful creativity and enthusiasm. They also loved having a picnic lunch on the beautiful grounds, making it a truly memorable day!

Yesterday, Year 4 Spruce enjoyed a wonderful trip to Compton Verney. They explored a range of art pieces and sculptures for inspiration to create their own prints in the afternoon. The children showed great creativity and enthusiasm and designed some fantastic sketches ready to trace for their prints. The children also enjoyed eating their lunch on the beautiful grounds, making it a wonderful day all round!

In DT, the children created shell structure helmets using papier-mâché. They learned how curved shapes add strength while carefully layering materials to build their designs. The finished helmets showed great creativity, patience, and effort. Well done Year 4 Rowan!

🌟 Year 2 have been exploring symmetry this week, learning how patterns can be the same on both sides. To support their understanding, they created beautiful butterfly artwork using folding techniques and careful design. We are so proud of their creativity and focus.🦋🎨✨

We were delighted to be invited by Ormiston SWB Academy to take part in their recent sponsored running event. A group of our Year 6 pupils, sporting their trainers and pink running gear, joined Mrs Briggs, Mrs Scott and Mr Brooke for a fantastic day, and we would like to thank Mr Mason, Principal of OSWBA, for including us. The event raised an incredible £7,344 on the day, which has since grown to over £21,000 after Mr Mason went on to run the London Marathon, continuing the

Year 1 Ash had an exciting computer programming day with Mr Ashton, exploring coding using Scratch 🐱The children did a fantastic job creating their own sequences, learning how to give clear instructions and bring their ideas to life on screen. We’re so proud of their creativity, focus, and growing confidence with technology — brilliant work, Year 1! 👏🌟

Year 5 Pine have been designers during their Vector Drawing computing lessons. Ask them all about the tools they have used!

Year 2 Oak had an amazing time stepping back in history and experiencing life in the past. The children were wonderfully behaved, asked brilliant questions, and loved exploring the houses, shops, and workshops. It was so lovely to see their learning come to life in such a meaningful and memorable way. A huge thank you to the staff at the museum and to everyone who helped make the trip such a success!

Year 3 had a brilliant day at the Deva Roman Experience in Chester! 🏛️ They learned all about kickers in Roman Britain and even got to train as Roman soldiers - marching, drilling and having lots of fun along the way! A great trip and a fantastic way to bring their learning to life. Well done Year 3! 👏

Today was the last day of school! We hope everyone will enjoy a lovely Easter holiday 🐰❤ We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday 13th April!

This week in DT, we have finished our unit by creating a healthy wrap. We did some food tasting to see what different combinations of food we liked. We then designed a wrap, made it and ate it. Take a look.

A very big well done and thank you to all of the children in Reception Willow who have taken part in designing an Easter themed egg. They all look EGGcellent😊. We hope that you all have a fantastic half term and enjoy the break🌺

Congratulations to our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the Easter Egg Decorating Competition. We were incredibly impressed with all the entries and the children loved sharing their wonderful creations with their friends. Happy Easter!
