Today was the last day of school! We hope everyone will enjoy a lovely Easter holiday 🐰❤ We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday 13th April!

This week in DT, we have finished our unit by creating a healthy wrap. We did some food tasting to see what different combinations of food we liked. We then designed a wrap, made it and ate it. Take a look.

A very big well done and thank you to all of the children in Reception Willow who have taken part in designing an Easter themed egg. They all look EGGcellent😊. We hope that you all have a fantastic half term and enjoy the break🌺

Congratulations to our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the Easter Egg Decorating Competition. We were incredibly impressed with all the entries and the children loved sharing their wonderful creations with their friends. Happy Easter!

A huge well done to all the children in Year 1 Elm who took part in our Easter Egg Decorating Competition! We were blown away by the creativity, colours and imaginative designs the children brought to life. From funny characters to beautiful patterns, every egg was a joy to see!  A big congratulations to everyone who took part — you all worked so hard and should be very proud of your amazing creations.

On Friday, Year 4 Spruce had a fantastic opportunity to share their musical talents with Year 3. After weeks of practising chords, strumming patterns, and learning new songs, the children proudly performed a selection of ukulele pieces they’ve been working hard on.  A big well done to Year 4 Spruce for their dedication and a big thank you to Mr Salt for teaching the children how to play.

Well done to Mia who earned her blue belt in karate at the weekend. We are super proud of you!

A very happy Red Nose Day from Reception Willow 😊 we have had a fun filled day with lots of red nose activities and learning all about why the day is so important. We it was lovely to see all of the children in their red noses and lovely red clothes☺️. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Year 4 Rowan are enjoying celebrating Red Nose Day! The classroom is filled with smiles as the children arrived wearing red clothes and their fantastic red noses. Everyone is enjoying the fun while supporting a great cause, showing kindness, creativity, and lots of enthusiasm. Well done, Year 4 Rowan, you look amazing! 🔴😊

Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic visit to St Martin’s Church to learn more about the Easter story . The children explored the key events of Holy Week through interactive activities and thoughtful discussion. They represented the school brilliantly and came away with a deeper understanding of Easter’s themes of hope and new beginnings. Thank you to St Martin’s for welcoming us so warmly!

Yesterday, Year 1 Ash had a fantastic art lesson inspired by the vibrant and imaginative work of designer Clarice Cliff and her famous Bizarre Ware! 🟠🔵🌈 The children explored Cliff’s bold patterns, bright colours, and quirky shapes before creating their own wonderfully “bizarre” designs. From swirling landscapes to eye-catching geometric patterns, their creativity absolutely shone! 🎨💡

WhatsApp has now introduced parent‑managed accounts for children under 13. These new tools are designed to give parents greater control and oversight while still allowing children to communicate safely with people they know. Happy Mother's Day from Nursery PM. The children have enjoyed talking about what they love about their moms, making cards and creating flower pictures. Have a lovely weekend celebrating together!

Year 5 had the best day at The Think Tank on Friday! Here are a few photos from their day!

To celebrate science week, we took part in a dinosaur workshop. We looked their diets and names. We then looked at fossils and to top it off we even met a real dinosaur! Take a look.

On Thursday , the children had a wonderful time celebrating all things bear related for World Book Day. Their day was filled with a trip to the Hundred Acre Woods, making marmalade sandwiches and creating chairs for baby bear. What an amazing way to celebrate our love of reading at Loxdale! 📚💛

Happy World Book Day! Have a look at some of the fun Year 3 got up to on World book day this year! The children took part in lots of activities around the book 'The Worst Witch' as well as reading to Nursery!

This week in art Year 3 have made the most of the great weather and taken their learning outside of the classroom. The children had to use their shape knowledge to find shapes in our outdoor environment to then help them with their drawings.

Year 2 Sycamore had a fantastic World Book Day! They enjoyed making Paddington's Marmalade sandwiches, exploring Hundred Acre Wood, building baby bear's chair and even enjoying adventures in space!
