Year 4 Spruce won a token to the vending machine as they were the winning class in the attendance battle last week. They won a board game afternoon. Attendance matters!

Half Term Dates Reminder
As a reminder, we break up for half term tomorrow (Friday 13th February). We then have an INSET Day on 23rd February, so we’re looking forward to welcoming children back to school on Tuesday 24th February. Last Week Before Half Term

Year 4 Rowan Baking
Yesterday, Year 4 Rowan rolled up their sleeves and stepped into the world of baking! The classroom was filled with excitement (and a lovely sweet smell!) as the children worked together to make their very own biscuits. They started by weighing out their ingredients carefully, making sure everything was measured just right. Next came the sifting—a messy but very fun moment as flour floated like tiny snowflakes! 🌟 Year 1 Ash – Safer Internet Day & Mental Health Week 🌟
This week, Year 1 Ash have been superstars exploring how to look after our minds and how to stay safe online 💛💻 ✨ We talked about what makes our Mental Jars feel full ✨ We created our own Mind Ponds ✨ We also celebrated how humans are all wonderfully different , and how we can use our voices to ask for help, share ideas, and show kindness — even when we’re talking to voice assistants ! ✨ And of course, we learned the importance of being safe online and knowing what to do

Year 5 Coreography
This term during P.E both of our year 5 classes have been choreographing and practicing their own dances to "The greatest show" from The greatest showman musical film. As part of their dance topic. Today, Year 2 Oak took part in Safer Internet Day , and we had a fantastic time learning all about how to stay safe online. Basketball Competition
Yesterday, a group of our Year 3 and 4 learners visited Moseley Park School to compete in a basketball tournament. The children played excellently as a team and showed fantastic Romeo Resilience! Due to their amazing COJOE characteristics the children came third place in the competition! Well done Team Loxdale!!

Y5 Cedar computing week
During this week we learnt how to code crumble boards to make a carousel, we used a motor, sparkle board and a switch. We also got to design our own carousel, take a look at how we got on.

Year 6 - Computing
On Monday and Tuesday, the class took part in an exciting Computing Day where pupils put their coding skills to the test. They worked through a series of programming challenges, using block-based and text-based coding to design, build, and control their very own robots. It was a fun, hands‑on experience that helped everyone grow in confidence and creativity while exploring the world of robotics.

Year 4 Outdoor Learning Adventure! 🌳🍂
Year 4 Rowan had a fantastic time exploring the great outdoors today. They investigated trees and leaves, using their senses to notice shapes, colours, textures, and even the smells of nature around them. This hands-on experience linked beautifully to their literacy work, inspiring descriptive writing full of rich vocabulary and sensory detail.
