Year 4 Spruce have stayed cool today with a cool foot spa and ice lollies.

What a fantastic day we have had in Reception celebrating music day. We got to take part in a lot of activities and had a fun filled day listening to and learning lots of music.

Year 4 had a brilliant time celebrating World Music Day! In the morning, the children took part in a fun drum lesson with Sarah followed by a day of creativity. Inspired by a fantastic lesson, the children then created their own bands, wrote lyrics and performed their very own songs. What a fantastic day had by all! Year 5 Pine have had a POPtastic day! We have taken part in an African Drumming workshop, pop quiz, Battle of the Bands, festival competition and made pop appraisals to decide who they would assign to their record label! Well Done Pine!

The Year 5 Cedar had an exciting and educational visit to Safeside in Birmingham, where they took part in a range of interactive safety workshops. During the trip, pupils learned about important safety topics, including fire safety, road safety and how to respond in emergency situations. We are so proud to share that Christina achieved an amazing 2nd place in her dance competition over the weekend! Her dedication, hard work and confidence truly shone through in her performance. Well done Christina, what a fantastic achievement! 🌟

Year 4 had a fantastic Sports Day filled with fun, teamwork and enthusiasm. Pupils took part in a range of activities showing great effort and sportsmanship throughout. It was wonderful to see everyone cheering each other on and working together. A big well done to all the children, you made it a day to remember! 🏅

Year 4 enjoyed 'World Cup Wednesday' yesterday. It was wonderful to see such a bright and colourful celebration! The children loved playing football together, showing great teamwork, enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the day. A fun and memorable experience for everyone! ⚽

Year 1 Elm have been on a tree hunt! We have been looking at leaves in Science and today with our partners we tried to find as many different trees as we could. We found Horse Chestnut, Oak and Silver birch tress.

Year 2 loved roleplaying a coronation in history last! 👑 A fun and memorable way to bring the past to life. Well done everyone! 🌟

Year 4 Rowan created beautiful shadow sculptures using inspiring words like hope and kindness. By shining light on their designs, their words appeared as shadows on the floor, bringing their ideas to life. A creative and thoughtful activity. Well done Year4 Rowan! 🌟

Today Y5 took part in a workshop which focused on the topic of hate crime. Children explored various scenarios and what it means to be an upstander.

Elm have been refining their DT cutting skills this week, making their wheels and axels for a moving toy.

Last week, One Elm won the attendance award! Everyone was treated to a hot chocolate, which was yummy! Well done One Elm, keep it up!

As a reminder, we break up for half term today and we’re looking forward to then welcoming children back to school on Monday 1st June. We hope all of you will enjoy a lovely half term holiday, we can’t wait to hear about what you got up to! ❤️
