Our Year 6 students are completing their SATs this week! Year 2 Oak - Computing
We’ve been exploring digital media and had lots of fun creating our own music using Chrome Music Lab! 🎧✨ Working with our partners, we experimented with different sounds, rhythms and patterns to compose our own tunes. Year 4 Rowan Inspired by the World Around Them 🌍
Year 4 Rowan have been exploring the natural world in celebration of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. Inspired by his lifelong passion for the world around us, the children learned about different habitats, wildlife and the importance of protecting our planet. They showed creativity through their drawings and shared thoughtful ideas on how we can all care for the Earth. A fantastic effort from everyone. Well done Year 4 Rowan! 🌿🐾

Year 4 Rowan Trip 🎨🚌
Year 4 Rowan enjoyed a fantastic arty day at Compton Verney. They gathered inspiration from a variety of artwork and sculptures before using their ideas to design and create their own prints. They showed wonderful creativity and enthusiasm. They also loved having a picnic lunch on the beautiful grounds, making it a truly memorable day!

Trip to Compton Verney
Yesterday, Year 4 Spruce enjoyed a wonderful trip to Compton Verney. They explored a range of art pieces and sculptures for inspiration to create their own prints in the afternoon. The children showed great creativity and enthusiasm and designed some fantastic sketches ready to trace for their prints. The children also enjoyed eating their lunch on the beautiful grounds, making it a wonderful day all round!

Design & Technology 🛠️🎨
In DT, the children created shell structure helmets using papier-mâché. They learned how curved shapes add strength while carefully layering materials to build their designs. The finished helmets showed great creativity, patience, and effort. Well done Year 4 Rowan!

Year 2 Oak Maths
🌟 Year 2 have been exploring symmetry this week, learning how patterns can be the same on both sides. To support their understanding, they created beautiful butterfly artwork using folding techniques and careful design. We are so proud of their creativity and focus.🦋🎨✨

Cancer Research Charity Fun Run at OSWBA
We were delighted to be invited by Ormiston SWB Academy to take part in their recent sponsored running event. A group of our Year 6 pupils, sporting their trainers and pink running gear, joined Mrs Briggs, Mrs Scott and Mr Brooke for a fantastic day, and we would like to thank Mr Mason, Principal of OSWBA, for including us. The event raised an incredible £7,344 on the day, which has since grown to over £21,000 after Mr Mason went on to run the London Marathon, continuing the

✨ What a fantastic day at the Black Country Living Museum! ✨
Year 2 Oak had an amazing time stepping back in history and experiencing life in the past. The children were wonderfully behaved, asked brilliant questions, and loved exploring the houses, shops, and workshops. It was so lovely to see their learning come to life in such a meaningful and memorable way. A huge thank you to the staff at the museum and to everyone who helped make the trip such a success!

Y3 Beech - Deva Roman Experience
Year 3 had a brilliant day at the Deva Roman Experience in Chester! 🏛️ They learned all about kickers in Roman Britain and even got to train as Roman soldiers - marching, drilling and having lots of fun along the way! On Friday, Year 4 Spruce had a fantastic opportunity to share their musical talents with Year 3. After weeks of practising chords, strumming patterns, and learning new songs, the children proudly performed a selection of ukulele pieces they’ve been working hard on. A big well done to Year 4 Spruce for their dedication and a big thank you to Mr Salt for teaching the children how to play.
