Last week in History, we were learning about the Wright Brothers, who flew the first powered airplane. We then used freeze frames to imagine how we might have felt being part of that significant event. Take a look! ✈️

We will be celebrating Black History Afternoon on Friday 10th October! Everyone is invited to come to school wearing colourful clothes and no donation is required to dress up. We have a fun afternoon planned - each year group will be learning about a different artist, exploring their life, music, and experiences as a Black artist in the UK music industry! ❤️🎵

In celebration of 'Bilston Neighbour Day', Art Club have been working hard the last two weeks to create a piece of art with the theme 'Our Bilston'. Miss Whitter and the children discussed various parts of Bilston which then have been incorporated in their work. The children's work was then made into the collage 'WV14'. This week in Year 1 Ash we have been looking at the artist Bridget Riley. She's an artist who uses various types of lines to create her masterpieces. Have a look at what we have created using the same method, ask us some questions about which lines we can use.

Year 1 Elm have really impressed us with their artwork. We have been looking at the artist Bridget Riley and taking inspiration from her work to create our own art pieces. We learnt about different line techniques such as horizontal, vertical, diagonal and wavy. We put our work together, so take a look at our amazing masterpiece!
